April 6, 2019 - Kezar Innovations proudly celebrated its 1st anniversary. Making its mark in the startup community, we see that Kezar is one out of the ten startups that are able to survive within its first year. By all indications of how they celebrated, Kezar not only survived but is premiering to be one of the fastest-growing startups in the Philippines.

Kezar Innovations classifies itself as a business development firm that focuses on innovative technology and startups, and in just the span of 1 year, this bunch of young technopreneurs has achieved so much. Since April of 2018, the brand has grown numerous startups underneath the Kezar Banner; Trakaro: Sustainable Travels, Kezar3D, StudyPlay, and Kezar Atlas Technologies.

The Kezar Year 1 celebration was held at the Asian Institute of Management, where the startup first began to come to life, bringing together investors, innovators, technopreneurs, etc, as the Kezar Innovations group is in the midst beginning their legacy. As they continue to handle their four pioneer startups, this ambitious bunch plans to launch more, boosting more technopreneurs to pursue their ideas, making them into profitable and sustainable businesses.

Solicito, CEO and co-founder, mentions that they design and develop an ecosystem of brands and startups with synergy in mind.

“We are proud that we have built an environment with everything a Filipino innovator might need to create a startup - may it be hardware requirements, software development, investments, business development, or creating a strong brand in its entirety.”

The Kezar Brand has also paved its way through social media, Director of Sales, Jo Paril, states that the Kezar Innovations Facebook page is now one of the largest Filipino Technopreneur Communities on Facebook, reaching over 100,000 likes. Inline with this, she announced another startup under the banner, Kezar Productions. Kezar Productions serves as its media and entertainment startup, focusing its resources on creating content that promotes innovative lifestyles. Paril says “Our goal with this startup, is to be the avenue for innovations and for all innovators.“

This young Filipino startup is rebooting how the local tech and innovation environment currently works. StudyPlay, its entertainment, and educational toy company aim to be at the forefront of this change. StudyPlay focuses on creating, designing, and distributing educational and entertaining products, specifically for the Filipino market, seamlessly integrating learning thru playing. Having just released their first line of toys, the AirDoodle, they are at it yet again. Targeting to have toddlers aged 3 and above, they introduced the BopBugz, an interactive toy that uses infrared sensors and motion detectors. BopBugz explores the battery-powered toys to stimulate hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and interaction among children. Another toy, yet to be released, was announced, claiming to be the early avenue to have kids learning about basic electronics with a DIY kit. This budding EdTech company seems to have a lot in store for future engineers and innovators, that being said, they will soon be holding school tours and workshops to start introducing their educational toys.

Trakaro: Sustainable Travels, seems to be paving its way through the Philippines. Kezar’s most prized intellectual property takes the form of a sustainability rating platform, bringing together tourists and establishment owners alike in order to not only bring awareness about environmental impact but to standardize such practices. In just a year, Trakaro has partnered with over 100 establishments across the country, from as far north as La Union and as far south as Zamboanga and Davao. To strengthen their engagement and advocacy for sustainability, Trakaro has partnered with a number of organizations; PCEPSDI (Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable development Inc.) for Transforming Tourism Value and the national Eco-labelling program; Green choice the Philippines, WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) through the Ayoko ng Plastik movement, The Just one to Save the Planet program, and the Sustainable Diner Project. Trakaro doesn’t limit looking at sustainability with establishments, but review tour operators that are often overlooked in the process. Trakaro opens and starts the Experience Sustainability launch tour on April 27.

The Kezar Innovations group has been making waves in innovative transformation for all types of industries and fields, with this comes Kezar Atlas Technologies. Kezar Atlas is one of the country’s fastest corporate mobile application developers, guaranteeing ideation, design, development, testing, and launch of a mobile application, for both iOS and Android, in just 60 days. Kezar Atlas has been commissioned by some of the largest corporations in the Philippines, and as of date, has released 4 complete mobile applications, with many more underway. But see here that this group has also been working with startups, offering a StartApp now, pay later program, creating flexible terms for innovators in need. This startup not only focuses on mobile applications, but has risen to the demand for digital transformation by offering Customer Relations Management Systems, the Inventory Management Systems, and QR-based loyalty reward card systems. Everything from Kezar Atlas is built from the ground up, as the group states that templates hinder and limit the possibilities of their innovative solutions. This is also evident as to how the group manages Kezar Innovations.

Lastly, one of the biggest announcements made by the Kezar group came from Kezar3D. Kezar3D is currently holding South Luzon’s largest 3D printing facilities, and it proved to cater to a shocking demand, as it reached ROI within just 7 months of operations. Kezar3D is revolutionizing 3D printing by making it accessible nationwide. Their noble goal is to democratize 3D printing, having scaled their facilities and lowering costs to one-fourth of what is commercially available, their mission is clear, Solicito states that if there is an individual creator who understands that if he can think it, then it can be built.

“Imagine a future where every Filipino innovator can just go to any SM or Ayala Mall, submit their design to any Kezar3D kiosk, return within a few days and have a prototype ready. That is the future that we want to see, that is the future for the Philippines that we are building towards. By 2021, the Kezar3D brand will be synonymous to 3D printing here in the Philippines.”

Kezar3D announced that they will be expanding and rolling out their kiosks nationwide.

The Kezar Innovations group is deemed as a force to be reckoned with. Judging from the startups that they have incubated from idea to business, StudyPlay, with numerous toys tackling the edtech sector, Trakaro, with over a hundred establishments across the country, Kezar Atlas surfing through the digital transformation wave, Kezar Philippines, revolutionizing business consultancy, Kezar Productions, becoming one of the largest MultiChannels for technology, and Lastly, Kezar3D, establishing and democratizing 3D printing technology. Startups like Kezar Innovations would make anyone re-evaluate how they do business, with young technopreneurs creating new initiatives and businesses out of ideas, it shows us how the overall ecosystem for technopreneurship has evolved in such a short amount of time.
